Pretty Chidi Smart of St Martin’s celebrates athletic achievement

St Martin’s learner, Pretty Chidi Smart, received an invitation to the Gauteng Athletics Honours Function on March 18 at Curro Midrand Sagewood, where they announced her selection to the Gauteng Athletics team.
She represented the province in the U11 girls category at the national championships, a milestone in her athletic journey.
Although Pretty could not reach the finals of the 80m event, she earned 12th place in the semi-finals, demonstrating her talent and determination.
The honours function recognised the hard work and achievements of athletes across Gauteng, and Pretty’s inclusion in the team highlights the strength and potential of St Martin’s learners in the athletics community.
